شجرة الزيتون هي شجرة منتشرة بكترة على حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط، مثل إسبانيا، إيطاليا، اليونان، تركيا، وغيرن من بلدان. وبما إنو لبنان بطل عالبحر الأبيض المتوسط، فشجرة الزيتون موجودة بكترة بشمال وجنوب لبنان. شجرة الزيتون هي شجرة معمرة، يعني بتعيش ميات وآلاف السنين لأنو جذورا قوية وثابتة بالأرض. ووراقا خضرا طول السنة، وهي شجرة بعلية. شو يعني بعلية؟ يعني بتشرب من مية الشتي، وما بحاجة لنسقيا بفصل الصيف. وما مننسى رمز السلام بالعالم، يلي هوي عبارة عن صورة لحمامة بيضا، حاملة بمنقارا غصن زيتون.
The olive tree is a tree that is widely spread on the Mediterranean basin like Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, and other countries. And since Lebanon overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, olive trees are abundant in North and South Lebanon. The olive tree is a perennial tree, which means it lives for hundreds and thousands of years, because it has strong and fixed roots in the ground. Its leaves are evergreen throughout the year, and it is a rain-fed tree. What does rain-fed mean? It means that it absorbs rainwater and doesn’t need us to water it during summer. We do not forget the symbol of peace in the world, which is a picture of a white pigeon holding in its beak an olive branch.
