Episode 37 – Street food in Tripoli

Sampling the street food of a city is one of the most enjoyable ways to explore the city’s culture. In this episode, we go on a food adventure with our host Naim to Tripoli in northern Lebanon. Tripoli is famous for its ancient history, bazaars, artisans, and traditional handmade soap. Another special aspect of the city is its mouth-watering street food. Hello and welcome to a new episode of Language Wave. I am Naim, and today we will get to know 5 popular dishes that are sold on the streets of Tripoli in northern Lebanon. These dishes that we will learn about, maybe you won’t find except in the city of Tripoli.

بيوم من الإيام كنت بزيارة لصديق إلي بطرابلس. يوما قررنا نقضي النهار عم نكزدر بالشوارع القديمة بالمدينة ونبرم بالأسواق. وأول ما بلشنا نتمنشى، نصحني رفيقي إنو نجرب بهيدا اليوم أكلات وحلويات ومشروبات بتنباع على الطرقات.

One day I was on a visit to a friend of mine in Tripoli. On that day, we decided to spend the day walking around in the old streets of the city and touring in the markets. As soon as we started walking, my friend advised me that we try on this day food, sweets, and drinks sold on the streets.
