Levantine dialects across Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine share much in common but also have noticeable differences. The Levantine dialects are important parts of the mosaic of Arabic dialects spoken across the Middle East. The popularity of Syrian and Lebanese TV shows, television drama series, and music have contributed to these dialects being widely understood across the Arab world. In this episode, Mariam describes the similarities and differences across these closely related dialects by narrating and describing situational conversations in each dialect.

Maybe a lot of people won’t see the differences in these three Arabic dialects distinguished or very clear, especially if they are not from these countries. But the people of these three countries, which we have previously spoke that they -along with Jordan- were one area unseparated by borders, notice and pay attention very well to these differences, and it is easy for them to tell or identify which country does a person comes from through these differences. Berzeen means in English distinguished or noticeable.
