Wildfires are a common phenomenon around the world and can profoundly affect economies, nature, and people. Lebanon, like many other countries, is occasionally affected by wildfires and some outbreaks in the past have been devastating. In this episode, Mariam gives us a general overview about wildfires and tells us about their history in Lebanon and the historic wildfires that occurred in 2019.

Hello, and welcome again to our listeners on Language Wave with me, Mariam, in a new episode during which we will talk about wildfires in Lebanon. Recently, and at the end of the 2019 summer, it severely affected big and important green spaces in the country. These fires can described as an environmental disaster, even for the areas that the fire did not reach.
