Jeita Grotte caves

The Jeita Grotto (Arabic: مغارة جعيتا‎) is one of Lebanon’s most famous natural wonders. It is a world-renowned system of interconnected limestone caves spanning about 9 kilometers, parts of which are only accessible by boat. Jeita Grotto is one of the most spectacular places in the world to see stalactites and stalagmites. Dareen tells us about the magnificent caves and her first visit to see them when she was a child.

In the Jeita Grotto, maybe you do not know, this grotto was on the list of candidates to become one of the seven natural wonders of the world. But because Lebanon is a small country in terms of its population, the voting percentage could not make it succeed, and the grotto could not win.

Marhaba! ("Hi"!)
